Advanced OTDR and Fibre Testing Module for VeEX® MTTplus Platform

The MTTplus-410+ is a high-performance fibre optics test module designed for the VeEX® MTTplus platform. It delivers 3 cm resolution with up to 500,000 sampling points, enabling highly accurate fibre characterisation for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
The module integrates multiple test functions, including OTDR, OPM, light source, and VFL. It also supports geotagging and image capture, allowing complete documentation of test locations in the field.

  • Available with the Field Replaceable Optical Connector Protector System (US Patent 12,481,111) to improve durability and reduce downtime.
  • Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
  • Supports single-mode operation across 1310, 1550, 1625, and 1650 nm wavelengths.
  • In-service testing enabled via filtered 1625 or 1650 nm port.
  • Resolution of 3 cm with up to 500,000 sampling points.
  • Live fibre detection helps prevent accidental service interruption.
  • Dynamic range performance up to 50 dB.
  • Typical event dead zone of 0.85 m and attenuation dead zone of 3.5 m.
  • Advanced link mapping with optional V-Scout multi-pulse profiling.

Optical Power Meter (OPM)

  • Supports multiple calibrated wavelengths.
  • High-precision InGaAs detector for standard and high-power measurements.
  • Measures absolute power (dBm, watts) and relative power (dB).
  • WaveID detection for identifying incoming wavelengths from compatible VeEX light sources.
  • Compatible with industry-standard optical adaptors.

 

Optical Light Source (OLS)

  • Optional OLS functionality using the built-in OTDR laser.
  • Stabilised output for insertion loss testing.
