E100 Chimera is a high-performance Ethernet impairment emulator designed to replicate real-world network conditions at speeds up to 100Gbps. It enables engineers to introduce controlled network impairments such as latency, jitter, packet loss, and bandwidth shaping to evaluate device and system behaviour under realistic conditions.
It supports both NRZ and PAM4 technologies and operates across 100G, 50G, 40G, 25G, and 10G Ethernet speeds, making it suitable for modern high-speed network validation environments.
E100 Chimera can function as a standalone impairment appliance or be integrated into a Xena test chassis, where it works seamlessly with traffic generation tools using a unified software interface.
